It would be useful to have a package for printing directly onto envelopes. The envlab pkg was a decent attempt, but I think the barcodes are not only US-only but also no longer relevent in the US. Barcodes appearing on mail lately are much longer and contain more info than just a zip code.

The barcode can be disabled, which is sufficient for basic use. But the tool has severe dimension limits. Even though you can specify an envelope of size 220×110mm, for example, the imaginary boundary box for the address is tiny. A street address that is 35 characters long gets wrapped.
