Political compass memes are unironically the dumbest fucken shit ever, I really hate them.

Any attempt to plot all of politics onto a two dimensional image is just pure concentrated idiocy mixed with huge helpings of stereotyping and propaganda. Stop taking these things seriously, they are not serious, they are actually the opposite of serious and are actively misleading you and making you dumber just looking at them.

The compass was basically designed with the intention of saying "Libertarians good, everyone else bad!"

Because the opposite of Libertarian on the scale was Authoritarian, and before we had to remind people that that was indeed a bad thing to be, the idea was to try and convince people that anything that isn't a libertarian, by extension, anyone who isn't part of the libertarian party of the US, must be some kind of authoritarian.

Aren't most US presidents in like the top right? It's such a bad system because like Lib Right is a grift and Auth Left is even more theory than Communism is, all those tankie countries are just Auth Right but with a revolution that failed beforehand and a lot of dead communists who never got to tell us how bad the new system is. A scale makes more sense. Its like a scale along a line, but with different flavors of policy priorities. Unironically make the whole thing based on a linux distro picker.
