I recently started using Lemmy as an alternative to Reddit and there is one major inconvenience that makes it difficult to use. Specifically, there are no iPhone apps that support it (yet?). So instead, I am using it as a web app by adding it to my Home Screen. It works well for the most part, but there are no navigation buttons to allow me to go back and forth between pages. So I might find myself diving deep into a thread, but when I want to go back up a level, I can’t. Instead I’ve been tapping the instances icon at the top to get back to the home page. Then I have to go find where I was at again. Plus, there are no tab options that I could use as a workaround. Is there any way to pop up arrow keys or map them to one of the volume buttons? Is this something that needs to be added into the Lemmy software? Are there any known apps that support Lemmy in development?

Yeah, several actually!

!mlemapp@lemmy.ml just got a big update, beta link inside.

!memmy@lemmy.ml too.

But also, you can swipe from the left or right edge to go backwards/forwards when using the web app.

Yea there are a few. I’m using the Memmy app, it’s a TestFlight beta. There is also mlem and others

+1 for Memmy, it’s very usable at this point and the dev pushes TestFlight builds with new features daily.

I used a web app like this before installing the beta of mlem.

You can use swipe gestures to go back and forth on web apps. Just swipe from the edge of the left side of the screen to go back, right to go forward.

I've been just swiping from each side of the screen to go back or forward. Same setup on iOS by adding it to homescreen.

I’m trying out both Limbo and Memmy. Both are good but Memmy has the Apollo-like swipe gestures for voting and replying so it’s a bit more familiar to me.
