The deep dive into who Democracy Manifest is/was is absolutely WILD. He escaped custody after the arrest, and that's probably the most normal thing about him.
Legend
I'd uh... I'd read up on him before calling him that
In 2023 the true crime author Mark Dapin published a biography of Karlson titled Carnage: A Succulent Chinese Meal, Mr. Rent-a-Kill and the Australian Manson Murders that also explores his connections to other criminals.[7][27] The book also revealed that Karlson was an admirer of Adolf Hitler and Nazism, and that on at least one occasion he threw a party at his home to celebrate Hitler's birthday.[
So, he‘s currently in the US government? Seems like a perfect fit.
He died last year, so he's probably a senator now
I hate that this is as plausible as it is a joke.
Yikes
Thanks
"To stop the crime, you must put a hand on his penis"
I see you know your judo well.
Who is Judo? And why are you touching his penis?
Get your hands of my penis!
I don’t get the joke, can someone explain it?

The video is worth watching if you’ve never seen it.
"Are you waiting to receive my limp penis?"
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing the vid, I was out of the loop too
The fourth frame depicts a man getting arrested for using a stolen credit card at a Chinese restaurant. It takes several officers to arrest him and he is humorously vocal about what the police are doing. The incident is known as Democracy Manifest.

And it turns out they had the wrong guy and he didn’t steal any credit cards.
Well, and the other joke is that it's a department that tries to predict crimes before they happen. If they're "successful" and the arrest happens beforehand, then the crime never happens and they're locking up an innocent person.
The "Department of Precrime" idea comes from the Philip K. Dick story The Minority Report, more widely known from its 2002 film adaptation starring Tom Cruise.
My abs actually hurt from laughing so much at this, I use that reference a fair bit and bravo for its usage here 🫡
Ta-ta, and farewell.
This is weird. I try not to eat lunch past 2.45p..
