I got a good look at that ugly fucker (how is it so much uglier in person?!) as I pedaled around it because it was parked in the (semi-separated) bike lane.

I haven't. Luckily, they are illegal here, which is one of the benefits to not live in the US.

[-] DarkDecay@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago

Just one of the benefits indeed. It's not even a top ranked benefit but it's still amazing. No one is missing anything by not being in america

[-] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 5 points 2 weeks ago

What, you don't want to be harassed by the Gestapo while overburdened with medical debt for a basic flu??

[-] DarkDecay@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Not today, or ever really

Engineers design a car: McLaren F1 road car

MBAs design a car: Tesla Cybertruck

Any further questions?

[-] Addition@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 weeks ago

Imo, the MBAs design is the RAM 1500. Huge profit margin, massive marketing scheme, dogshit engineering, dies exactly when the warranty expires.

Cybertruck is what happens when a ketamine addicted nepo baby ceo high on their own ego designs a car.

Easily mistaken for a dumpster.

[-] collapse_already@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 weeks ago

Sad raccoon noises.

Seriously, actual problem: raccoons mistake them for dumpsters. It's not just humans being mean to muskrat.

I have a few in my city I see everyday. They are so ugly. Can’t imagine anyone actually thinking they look cool.

[-] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 4 points 2 weeks ago

People always say that pictures don't evven do that monstrosity justice. I can only imagine

[-] harrys_balzac@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 2 weeks ago

Someone around here has one with a wrap that I could best describe as "blood-tinged feces." Even the ones with basic blue and black wraps look awful.

It goes beyond putting lipstick on a pig. It's putting lipstick on a pig that got hit by a few dump trucks then rolled onto the shoulder a few weeks ago.

First time i saw one, dude threw a fast food bag out the window while driving. I yelled asshole as he went by.

[-] Marshezezz 17 points 2 weeks ago

You can make the insecure drivers flip out really easily by doing the “small penis” sign with your fingers and going “pequeño peepee!” Then you can laugh at them getting all mad and then they get even more mad because you aren’t showing them fear.

[-] slaneesh_is_right@lemmy.org 8 points 2 weeks ago

Luckily we don't have cyberfucks here, but when i see some stupid wank tank i love to point at them and laugh. Especially when the make loud wroomwroom noises to feel manly.

I did it once when one of them pulled out of the gas station i was at, he floored it and wasted like 20l of gas with this cool maneuver. He actually came back and asked me what's so funny. Jave you even seen your car?

[-] Jarix@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

It's weird(for me) to see vroomvroom spelled with a w instead of a v.

I think spelling it with a b would also be weird

but these are all accurate depending on where you come from.

alphabets are weird

[-] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

They are surprisingly monstrous.

[-] psx_crab@lemmy.zip 11 points 2 weeks ago

I actually seen a lot of functional garbage truck collecting garbage twice a week.

Ohh wait we're talking about Tesla's garbagetruck.

[-] Muffi@programming.dev 10 points 2 weeks ago

I recently went to Yosemite, and saw several Cybertrucks there. They were so ugly that they made the beautiful nature seem even grander! Thanks, Tesla.

[-] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 10 points 2 weeks ago

Fr? I have seen so goddamn many. Like over 10 unique cybertrucks. There are 5 ish in my city that I see often and this is not a large city

[-] anothermember@feddit.uk 8 points 2 weeks ago

It's not sold in many countries, I've never seen one.

[-] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

They're not sold in countries where pedestrian safety is a consideration.

When I see them in traffic I put my thumb out horizontally until I'm sure I have their attention, and then rotate to a thumbs down. Apparently they really hate ancient Roman iconography being used against them.

[-] uriel238 4 points 2 weeks ago

There are cybertrucks around town. They look like bad eighties sci-fi.

Contrast: good eighties sci-fi.

[-] TheJesusaurus@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 weeks ago

The worst 80s SciFi had more inspired designs than that

[-] Darkassassin07@lemmy.ca 3 points 2 weeks ago

I've never seen the driver, but there's one that parks near my work.

Constantly having to resist the urge to go key it. (too close to work, I may even be seen on works cameras. I need this job) One parking lot further away and I'd go chuck a can of self-etching paint/primer on it.

[-] fnrir 4 points 2 weeks ago

I'm pretty sure it would scratch if you just stared at it hard enough.

[-] Jarix@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

Why spend excess money on that. Tomatoes lemons vinegar salt all do the job and there's no need to do anything other than raid your pantry or just get rid of questionable quality food

[-] GladiusB@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

I have a dealership where I live. They look like such garbage. I am not a fan of the aesthetic or the mechanics of it. It sucks all the way around.

[-] MangioneDontMiss@feddit.nl 1 points 2 weeks ago

there are a couple in my neighborhood i've been thinking about giving some paint job modifications.
