It seems like there is no way to pass this in a reconciliation bill without violating the Byrd Rule. I expect it to be taken right back out by the Parliamentarian as any change to the NFA would “produce a change in outlays or revenues which is merely incidental to the non-budgetary components of the provision.” I’d love for deregulation of SBRs and suppressors but bureaucratically it’s out of the scope of a budget bill.
