Like, I get bareback feels better but, like, HIV is still a thing, and other STIs too I guess. But seems like nobody actually cares lately. Am I the one being weird?

  • Some people are on prep to prevent HIV transmission.
  • Some people are vaccinated against mpox and hepatitis and HPV.
  • Some STIs can be resolved with antibiotics.

Herpes is still a thing though. And some STIs like gonorrhea are becoming antibiotic resistant.

If I’m not wrong PrEP also prevent HPV transmission. It is surely an affective way to stay safe, I’m not sure, for personal ignorance, how much should we be worried about other STIs, especially if there is a risk for them to become chronic

The thing is, most people have herpes. What they don't have is breakouts, so really I don't think its something people can realistically be worried about since there arent practical ways to protect yourself and almost everyone has it in some form.
