Are there any services that give you a number for about $5/ year, or a lifetime cost?
I don’t believe so. Don’t think It would be viable to do it for that cheap. JMP.Chat is 5 bucks a month
You get 120 minutes per month of talk time. Is that enough for your business needs?
Yes that’s plenty of time. Is it just one number? For 5 bucks a month? And if I wanted more I would have to get another subscription with a different jabber id? Thank you for the reply by the way!!
I'm not a customer but from what I've read on the their site it's one number. A second number is quite a bit cheaper but I don't know if that includes another 120 minutes.
Like you say, a second account is also an option.
Thank you very much I appreciate you amigo
I use it for a thing. It's okay. UI is very good. There are some problems about the upstream phone system provider censoring swear words for absolutely no reason than they want to. You are not allowed to automate message sending.
Jmp.chat is definitely a plug-in replacement for Google voice, but it is not free. It does not work as well in low coverage zones, but you can set up your own server to host chat, video for privacy. When I was using it, there was no multinumber price bundling.
It has bridges for many services like sms, pbx, matrix. It is a Canadian business. You can set up voice mail, so missed calls due to no coverage can be captured. Per minute rates are quite good and you get a couple hours free per month. They take bitcoin.
Ok it sounds like a good fit for me thank you for the confirmation. I truly appreciate it.
