Phantasm is, I think, regarded as a cult classic horror film. I usually wasn't into that genre, but I took a chance on this one since the trailer looked cool, and I'm glad I did.

What elevates it for me is that it drifts a bit more into the cosmic-horror side of things, which makes it a bit more compelling, and stands out.

It was a fairly low budget film, but they squeezed some decent effects out of it, plus a wicked cool car.

The acting can trend into B-movie territory, but they hold their own for the most part. The story and pacing were pretty solid.

If that sounds good, you'll probably enjoy it!

Be warned, there's some nudity fairly early on.
