Remember in Tommyknockers, when the reanimated appliances are all in the woods attacking the people, and the woods are on fire from the fighting, and one of the appliances is a smoke detector and some remnant of its former duty and function is still intact and it starts doing its smoke-alarm beeping in the middle of the forest fire / appliance war?
