I stumbled on this stupid-simple build that will kick out extra U-235 with splitter priorities instead of using chests and circuit counters.

It takes a bit for it to "settle in" and may kick out some U-238 during startup. Probably not an ideal build for early game as it takes quite a bit of uranium to get belt "back pressure" correct.

Yeah, that looks reasonable for late game when you have a surplus of processed isotopes.

I try to set up kovarex as soon as I have the minimum amount necessary to start one centrifuge. I usually build it with only belts, splitters and inserters — not even logi chests.

It feels like forgetting a semicolon, I created the exact same design, except I output both rocks with the same inserter and had half a lane of mixed until it got to the output chest, where I proceeded to use circuits and overflow chests to only need to sort everything once.

Mine works, so whenever I restart, i know how to improve it using a technique I already use in a bunch of other things

Grab a deconstruction planner and add it to the filter of your merge splitter so you don't get any output on the one side. (edit: whoops, I see the ones at the top are filtered, I was talking about the one on the left)

For me, not blocking the output of a splitter is a personal note/habit that the splitter can be moved or should be moved later. (Having the wasted materials sticking out is annoying as hell and it will tickle a few neurons when I am scrolling around older or more complex builds. Basically, it helps me remember any earlier intent.)

Not the exact set-up I use but pretty similar. I like finding other people's build and blueprints and learning how they do it and often times it's always so over the top or just a lot. Why I have it like yours usually. Just simple and easy. Make it into a loop and excess with a splitter.

This is my go-to for shiny rock processing.

Thank you. I'll try using this one now.
