According to this report there is another movement growing, seeking to take over leadership of your party from the MP's. The general gist is that they believe that a true grassroots movement should be community organised, not headed by powerful leaders.

I am dubious of the wisdom in this move, because it seems that it may disperse the swell of power building behind the party by tying it up in further committees, votes, and assignment of duty that has already been delaying the establishment. But I guess when the chaos struck, everyone saw it as an opportunity to reform the party in their own image, and maybe it truly will be the path to a class led movement.

What do you think?

This is what we do: we eat our own. Gods forbid we unite behind someone with a demonstrable record of fighting for us, no! We need to be a disorganised mass of rudderless, conflicting voices desperate to do things according to the whims of every self-important academic.

We deserve Reform. If this is the best we can do, we'll never have anything better.

well I will say this about fascists - they sure know how to band together under a single leader...

Come on Labour, give us proportional voting already so that the left doesn't have to organize into a single group

PR will not happen under labour. They are to owned by people who benefit from the current limits to democracy.

If we want PR we need to build support for a different PR supporting party and win 2029.

Getting over this bust up and continuing to build this party. While unifying with greens is likely the only way.

As greens alone while growing are still not attracting the support needed.

Edit: I'll add. Long before fasism started to take over. The right as a whole has always been more willing to group together to stop the left. Then the left is to stop them. I am likely to old to see that change on our side. But can hope,

I think this is by far the best option in a dispointing mess.

But I also think we need to be very observent of this new factions actions. To ensure no group tries to limit membership control.

We have no evidence to support ZS"s claims. Other then her statement and some internal supporters backing.

But the party from day one has been advertised on membership ownership and control. Any effort to limit that is unacceptable from any leadership founders/faction.

Any party rules need to include an option for members to wrestle control from any sub org with a mass vote.
