I'm interested in the gameplay changes and I always appreciate skipping weak enemies as well as overworld encounters.

The new visuals are great, but quite honestly, I think I prefer the original. DQ VII and other games in that style just have so much charm. It's really apparent in the comparison shots in the article. (However, the new version has vasrly better combat animations of course.)

Do we know if they changed anything about the game length wise? I think the 3DS version was shortened.
