I've only ever seen coding assistants, such as claude, work correctly if wielded by people who already know very much about programming. They know what questions and pointers to give the AI, they treat it like a junior coder that is looking to learn.

I'd recommend looking at Jon Gjengset trying out vibecoding for the first time:
