Yeah what... The article needs more information, I'm left on a cliffhanger here.

Edit: the source articule shows more that he was saying Israel losing influence is bad for them... Basically saying they are winning the war (genocide) but losing the publicity. Threw in that people criticizing Israel's actions (AOC) are lunatics..

So no change

Pretty sure Israel is one of ten countries blackmailing him now

Well I don't say this often, but he's not wrong.

Like so much else with reactionary beliefs, it's inside out and backwards.

Israel is an American colony in the Middle East. We own them. We use their businesses and banks to launder our money. We project our foreign policy out through their military and police. We control critical arteries of trade - the Suez, most notably - through their influence. The reason AIPAC can bribe American politicians is because American politicians send tons of money to AIPAC's sponsors. The reason Silicon Valley has played along with the Israeli genocide stems from their desire for US surveillance and support contracts, which are conditional on them aiding US allies.

Guys like Biden and Trump letting Netanyahu off the leash are enacting US policies by proxy. It's our genocide. It's our guns and bombs. It's our military training and our mercenary companies and our satellites (and, I'm even willing to put money down on a few of our Green Berets and Navy Seals) that made the sacking and looting of Gaza, Southern Lebanon, Syria, and bits of Egypt possible.

Israelis have allies within the American Congress. There's a lot of money changing hands and quite a few promotions to be had by working hand-in-glove. Quite a few evangelical fanatics are also excited about All Jews Moving To Israel To Rebuild The Third Temple As It States In Prophecy for... reasons. But this isn't Israelis controlling Congress any more than a rapist's dick and balls are controlling his feet and hands. We're participating in this slaughter willingly - even enthusiastically - at the legislative and executive levels.

OK, Why would the US care about stealing a strip of land near Israel? Your argument makes no sense.

We project our foreign policy out through their military and police.

How? Their military and police never leave their borders, and the Israelis never participate in our middle eastern wars. We dont have operations oriented military bases in Israel. Up until fairly recently we didnt even resupply ships in the mediteranean there. We use air bases in Jordan and Cyprus-- not Israel. And what precisely does the US gain by stirring up all this global anger at Israel? I see only costs.

OK, Why would the US care about stealing a strip of land near Israel?

Because they see Gaza as a national security threat to traffic through the Suez Canal.

Thats richly absurd. Beyond the multilayered fortified defenses Egypt provides over 150 years, theres the empty sinai to cross, 200 miles distance, and a border to cross.

Tell it to the Houthis in Yemen who managed to land a long range drone attack into Tel Aviv as recently as May.

Smart idea, I'll just call them to congratulate them for their 45 mile drone range. And comparing Tel Aviv's defenses to the Suez canal's well defended mud banks is so dumb on your part. You should stick with the racism and murder cheerleading and not try to be smart about anything else.

Ok but they still have a stranglehold on the global West.
