Although they are not formally resigning, they are "quitting" any work and commitment beyond what's explicitly listed in their job description.

Also known as not doing shit you're not being paid for. I despise this bullshit term.

I hate the term “quiet quitting”, like it puts the blame on employees.

Quiet quitting is burnout and lack of motivation.

Both of those things are management’s job to manage.

If your employees are “quiet quitting” it’s 100% because you are making them miserable. It means you’re a shit manager or boss and you should be fired.

Sometimes people go through a rough patch, that’s not quite quitting. Help them through it.

Nah, it's just doing your job, and not anyone else's, and then going home.

e: One might also consider this "minimizing the exploitation by no longer doing extra work without compensation".

I will downvote every article I see that uses this term. Fuck whatever hellmouth spat that abomination out.

Quiet quitting is not a pro union stance. It's not especially anti union either, but it's subscribing to the idea that you should quietly accept your pay rather than fighting for what's deserved

Bullshit.

“Not only are you easily replaceable, we’re gonna use this dumbass LLM and the remainder of you are gonna have to pick up the slack and fix the mistakes.”
