If I had those in front of me, I’d play Intelligent Qube. But Resident Evil when the fast pace of IQ inevitably frustrates me.
Idk how y'all feel about rom hacks but I just started another Pokemon Elite Redux monotype flying run on Elite difficulty. Wish me luck with the rock gym lol.
Duck Hunt!
I'm having fun with Gumshoe too!
What year is it where you live?
2009 and nothing bad is coming :)
Just started Earthbound. This time I won't get stuck and have to restart
My favorite game! Where did ya get stuck?
In the Golem. Somehow I got in there and didn't have whatever I needed to get out. It was ages ago but I remember how mad I was.
I'm enjoying the fan translation of Mother 1 /Earthbound Zero. A bit grindy compared to modern RPGs, but that's what I expected going in
Honestly the game I miss most from retro days is vigilante 8.
Sick game, did you play Interstate '76 the pre cursor to Vigilante 8? That was good too!
I could never find a copy! But I did have both vigilante 8 games.
I just looked up some gameplay to remind me and god damn it does look old now! In my rose tinted mind it looked a lot better but it was also longer ago than I remembered too!
Larn
Hadn't heard of it:
It's a classical roguelike, not a console game so a bit off topic from your original post but still a retro experience, there is a modern fork called nlarn that is still being developed and is comparable in gameplay to other modern traditional roguelikes such as Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup and Brogue, but the Dos and Amiga versions are surely the true retro way of experiencing it
No Atari 2600? Sheesh, amateur!
I need to get an RF switch! The TV on the left is RF only, but i have it hooked up to the NES right now. Maybe someday i'll find the time to figure out an RGB mod
I also need to make shelf space for the 2600. My nostalgia era is 4th-6th generation, so the 2600 is a lower priority to me. Aesthetically it's near the top!
Retro Gaming
For the purposes of this community, "retro" means platforms launched in 2001 and earlier, and games for those platforms released through roughly 2007. This means that the Xbox, GameCube, Game Boy Advance, and PlayStation 2 are the cutoff consoles.
