He sucks so much
Cheap knock off is more like it.
He sucks, but, right now, he's also the only dem taking real actions, with real momentum, against the gop. Actions that aren't just symbolic.
Jefferies talked a lot? Who tf cares.
Schumer's gonna write another stern email? Okay....
If we continue to eat our own in the face of fascism we will get another Warren.
he’s also the only dem taking real actions
No, so far he's just been posturing. We'll see if he actually does what he said he was going to do, or if he finds an excuse not to.
He's taking real action, yes (though not nearly enough), but here's the thing: He's not doing this out of the goodness of his heart; it's an attempt to get support for a 2028 run. And if that happens, and if there's even a democracy by that point, it will be an unmitigated disaster. Just because he did a good thing once or twice doesn't mean we should forget who this slimy, homeless-oppressing Charlie Kirk sellout really is.
Kewl so who else you wanna put up there?
AOC. Now tell me that women can't win because you don't want to run that particular woman.
The DNC def don't want to run her. She's another Bernie the exact right person they need but they will pass to avoid losing the centre votes.
Maybe we can have a valid primary this time and see who's actually good at it. I know it's a long shot, but maybe this time they'll let us.
The people. Frankly electoral democracy in America is already dead and can only be resuscitated via worker action. By the midterms America will have became either a progressive democracy or a fascist dictatorship already, so there's no point fussing about it right now. If you have the time to do that, organize in your neighborhood or city and get resisting.
Most people here will probably hold their nose and vote for newsom. However, since 2000 that strategy has only worked in 1 of the 6 elections that have taken place.
Running a campaign on changing things however has won 4 of the elections. 66% of presidents in the last 24 years that campaigned on mixing up DC etc have won.
If I said Gavin Newsom has a 17% chance of winning the general election in 2028 and thats the best dems have, would you bet on those odds?
And this is assuming no republican fuckery occurs. The reality is we need somebody can be as popular as Obama so there is no way to fuck with the election but who is also willing to fight fascists tooth and nail. Newsom isnt it. What we need is people to realize this and find that person who can fix this.
The guy literally did a photo op of personally tearing apart a homeless encampment.
It's sad, he used to be a progressive. Like making headlines levels of progressive when he was the SF mayor. Then he sold out.
We know he's not.
But we also know he isn't a pedophile rapist fascist who has a lukewarm IQ, shits his pants, kowtows to dictators and....
Real high bar you've got there.
It will be lowered as expedient.
Perfect example of lib mentality
2023 news. Remove it
Yes, it’s still a good read. They also reposted it today and it’s going viral on socials.
Right as he's surging in the polls... Who's agenda are you pushing?
We don't want corporate neolib Newson! We get rid of him now.
Newsom 🤮
The agenda of "posting things valid publications have posted recently?"
Or the agenda of "no you're not allowed to call out the politicians that I like"?
Evergreen. He still sucks.
Didn't we already do the whole "he isn't progressive enough! Let's infight and give conservatives everything!"-strategy?
We already did the "let's move to the right and blame the left when we lose" strategy.
Jesus Christ, it's not even the primaries for the midterms yet, but the BlueMAGA chuds already demanding progressives swear fealty to their neoliberal ghoul of choice.
Clearly you deserve it.
Zero sympathy for Blue MAGA.
