I started writing a basic witchcraft guide, does that count
While some Satanists follow the Satanic Bible (or some other scripture), others take their own route, and one of the ways to do that is to create a personal Satanic Root Document. This concept builds upon the Root Document, an idea from productivity guru Cal Newport, and it's a combination of your rules for living, quotes that inspire you, rituals, and other guiding lights, as well as things like a to-do list.
I started small, and I'm trying to build on it a little bit more each day, as I believe that it will help me to live a better life. I'm using Quillpad, which is a free and open source Markdown editor for Android.
For a couple of years now I've been formulating a cosmology and religious practice with the intent of reconciling my strong urges towards the spiritual with my reflexive scientific skepticism.
The idea is to embody natural principles and behaviours into deities as an aid to process events and thoughts in constructive and/or ritualised ways. I'm using existing deities, mostly from ancient Canaanite and Sumerian mythology.
The idea was heavily influenced by the essay Meditations on Moloch by Scott Alexander: https://slatestarcodex.com/2014/07/30/meditations-on-moloch/
I don't create a holy book, as my religion requires none. However, I've syncretized a narrative and a mythology that aligns with the current scientific opinion.
