Dear EU. Thank you for enacting the GDPR. I would like to state categorically that I do not wish for any decisions to be made about me by an automated process.
Thanks.

Thanks.
The GDPR includes exceptions for governmental surveillance.
It includes exceptions for data relating to law enforcement, national security, investigation and (hilariously) public interest. This covers data sharing, storage and processing. It doesn't cover Article 22, the decision making by an automated process which has its own set of specific and limited exceptions defined which a government or law enforcement body would have to prove would apply in any case where they hope to bypass Article 22.
Wishful thinking.
Of course it does.
Fuck off with this censorship
Hungary
Of fucking course.
err you seem to have forgotten to mention the other countries that are *not* widely regarded as being run by fascists...
I'm not from there and I don't know their politics. Sorry if it came off wrong, but Orbán's days are numbered, and of course he will take the opportunity to make all our lives just a tiny bit even more shit.
245 days left, I hope the damage he can do in that is limited.
I would really like to know what the other countries supporting this are saying. Is it just a chorus of "but the children", or can they be asked whether they understand the repercussions of this move? Are there jounralists capable of holding anyone to account?
Ah yeah sorry I wasn't saying that Orban shouldn't be criticised for supporting this, but those other governments that claim to be better than Orban are showing their true colours by supporting it.
Governments like Denmark, Italy, Spain and France are all dead keen on universal surveillance of the plebs for the exact same reasons Orban is - control and authoritarianism. They'll use whatever arguments they think are most likely to allow them to get their way - be it children, terrorism, or whatever else.
You only have to look at the UK, where they're using anti-terror legislation to arrest people just for peacefully protesting.
Finland currently has a wannabe fascist government so as a finn would't be suprised if supports it.
