This plugin allows two decks to connect directly to one another, allowing multiplayer lan games to work without any wifi network available.

I remember before the Steam Deck was released, and people were discussing all the potential capabilities of the upcoming device, it was often asked if this might be a feature. Of course, there would be the usual "It's a PC, so yes" answers, but the more accurate answers along the lines of "If it's not, someone will make it work" are finally coming true.

I know people have managed to do this manually for awhile now, but honestly it sounded like more trouble than it was worth, especially when many people can just toggle on a wifi hotspot on their phone.

This is great though, finally a nice user friendly option.

That's useful enough to think it really should be incorporated into SteamOS.

I think there may be security concerns since the deck is a PC and not ultra-locked-down like the switch

Steam Deck's OS is immutable. It's pretty "locked down" already, although not quite as much as a Switch.

I am aware. It's trivial to enable mutability though and you can still have userspace infections.

Haha that's so fucking awesome. Thank you modding community.
