Why don't they just publish a fake list? Republicans are dumb enough to believe it.

[-] BodilessGaze@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago

The fact it was fake would get leaked, possibly along with the real list. The Trump cabinet is one of the leakiest cabinets in history.

[-] Yeller_king@reddthat.com 8 points 2 days ago

Yeah, but then you just tell them that the real one is a fake from the deep state or whatever.

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

I think that's what they're effectively doing.

I've had a few arguments with the MAGAs and people I thought were Rs, trying to excuse the non release by saying something along the lines of "You wouldn't be saying that if Bill Clinton was in office and the list was released", to excuse the crimes.

I like to retort back "yes I would. Pedophiles deserve to be held accountable for their horrible crimes no matter who they are"

Imagine a world in which Bush had actually prosecuted Slick Willy, rather than giving him the old Yale reach around and sending him off to the Wall Street speaking circuit.

Maybe Hilary wouldn't have become a Senator and then Secretary of State. Maybe we wouldn't have bombed Libya. Maybe Trump wouldn't be president right now, off an email scandal.

[-] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 5 points 2 days ago

You're hilarious.

Prosecuted him for what? The Clintons were investigated and reinvestigated and rerereinvestigated for eight years. Travelgate, Vince Foster, and every other "scandal" was put under the microscope a dozen times.

Meanwhile, clowns like you happily ignored Trump going on Howard Stern and talking about perving on the children in the Miss Teen America pageant.

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

Prosecuted him for what?

Juanita Broaddrick and Paula Jones, just for starters. The illegal military strikes into Iraq in '93 and Sudan in '98 and the bombing of the Chinese Embassy in '99 which killed three journalists. Their involvement in the Arkansas Prisoner Blood Sales scandal, having appointed and defended a number of people involved.

Then there's the more obscure stuff. The Clinton/Epstein connection, for instance. US support for the Yeltsin government's Rule By Decree following a bad electoral turn and the subsequent cannibalization of Russian democracy. The assorted corporate kickbacks and money laundering scandals that came out of the Clinton/Walmart relationship. Yadda yadda yadda.

Bush Jr wasn't going to touch any of that because he was up to the gills in corrupt practices himself. But maybe if the GOP didn't suck shit...

Oh, now I get it.

bOth SIdes ArE THe SaME!!

No one should vote for the Dems. Lets just sit on our hands until the Revolution magically appears.

You get funnier and funnier.

No one should vote for the Dems.

Found the Eric Adams diehard

[-] DagwoodIII@piefed.social 1 points 1 day ago

Thanks for proving my point.

Please, provide a detailed plan for how the same people who failed to get Bernie nominated are going to come up with a brand new third party before the 2026 elections.

You get funnier and funnier as you get sadder and sadder.

My personal favorite Obama scandal was "Fast & Furious," because the GOP kept ranting that any action by any agency was the direct responsibility of the President.

[-] UnderpantsWeevil@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

The joke of F&F was that it was Bush's DOJ that initiated it, back under Operation Wide Receiver, and the only reason it became a scandal under Obama was that all the Bush Era ATF agents hated their new boss.

[-] Dorkyd68@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

The way he snapped at the reporter and says "we have great historical successes happening right now and youre still talking about that creep" then catches himself and goes "also tragedy" cause of the tragic floods that have killed 30 kids, that could have been prevented by his masss layoffs was the chefs kiss.

Yes don. We are still talking about him cause many high profile are on that list. Including you

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@piefed.world 11 points 3 days ago

I guess it's as impossible to share the Epstein information as it is JFK and UFOs.

[-] Fades@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

It's almost like our political and elitist owners are all over that thing and neither party is willing to release it to the people.

[-] Kowowow@lemmy.ca 6 points 3 days ago

He looks oddly feminent in this was this done by the green shirt comic lady?

[-] gurnu@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago

Yes, it's the toxic PCC

A reminder: she has threatened to sue people for making fun of and creating parodies of her comics. Her comics are not something I'd want anywhere, but her rabid fans are taking a foothold on Lemmy, too

[-] Kyuuketsuki@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 days ago

Do you have a source for the threats? I wouldn't be surprised based on some of her posts, but it's the first time I've heard of it.

[-] Widdershins@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

I'm no comic aficionado but that comic is grade-A dog shit. I never read Homestuck but I know it also had rabid fans. But Homestuck didn't have that godawful art style and limp-wristed messaging. Homestuck carved out a niche, ran with it, and faded into obscurity.

Whenever I see the garbage pc comic I am astounded that whoever makes it sees what they have made and willingly releases it for everyone else to suffer. The world would be a better place if the creator flipped burgers instead of pumping out so many awful comics.

[-] SonOfAntenora@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Homestuck fans are still obsessing over that.

I mean, I feel the same way, but I think I don't care as much as you do
