For sure, it's an 'American product,' but it's also got that European-style, sly observational quality.

Oof, I suppose we could argue endlessly upon this stuff, but at the end of the day? I feel like I'm mainly correct in listing it here. Do speak up though if you feel I acted in error.

Oh, and I also cut down on a couple links that are no longer relevant, outdated, etc, upon yon sidebar. So you should only see eight total now, I believe..?

I am not a fan of including American comics in this community - wouldn't it make more sense to have a "western comics" community at that point?

Strange Planet also appears very American to me, even beyond the example comic which is about a drive-thru.

I am also not feeling generous towards America these days.

I'm not the most active community member here though, so if this feels right to those who are bigger parts of it than myself I wouldn't insist. :)

Yeah man like... I don't even know where to begin. I don't even go here man, but like casually scrolling and the sheer audacity for OP to believe that they and they alone get to determine what is and isn't European? You know, instead of just using thing that are from the region and countries that are defined to be what Europe is. It's also just straight up false advertising for the community. Is the endgame that I come to eurographicnovels in three years and it's just 40% western webcomics and Japanese manga that happen to feel like they might evoke a feeling that someone in Europe once had?

OP is the main poster on this community. They were open for feedback.

Do speak up though if you feel I acted in error.

Not sure why you are so aggressive in your tone.

To me this comic is just one mediocre joke beaten to death, and I don’t think there should be American comics in a euro community, but I’m also a filthy American so feel free to ignore me I guess.

At no point did I try to 'pass this one off' as an American comic, so I guess you're right about your general confusion in life.

Good luck to you, mate.

I think you’re replying to the wrong comment?

I find it funny that the community is European AND graphic novel. This comic is neither.

My opinion means zero, though, seeing as how I'm a dirty American.

[-] JohnnyEnzyme@piefed.social 1 points 1 month ago

Tell me you desperately crave more attention without outright stating it, mate?

I'm just stating an observation from an outsider. I just wanted to be transparent on where I was from in case someone looked at my post history and pointed out that Im from the US. I got no skin in the game.

Gerudo-- I think MAYBE I see what you're saying.
I.e., Nate's stuff is not strictly Euro in nature, so you're trying to 'call me out, right?'

But here's the thing, dude-- have you actually READ the purpose and backstory of this community..?

Come on, dude-- let's talk about it, eh..?

Huh...!
Interesting.

Well, then, I guess if people don't like it, then they don't like it. (and yes, the point here is indeed ABSOLUTELY about Euro lit)

Honestly, tho-- you down-voters disappoint me. I.e. I feel like there's a place where there's a silly zone of creativity that should always be respected.

Still-- if the people have spoken, then the people have spoken...?

I don't mind if it's listed in the sidebar, it's a comic community so I see nothing wrong with supporting each other, quite the opposite. However, I don't think the style of this comic fits our theme well enough to post it here regularly. That's my two cents, do with it what you will :)
