Half a battered sausage, half cod (both shared with the other half) and chips covered in salt and their homemade onion vinegar

Cod and chips. It's a classic for a reason!

In my fatter youth:

Large cod, large chips, side of beans.

I'm my healthier mid life:

Medium cod, large chips, curry sauce / gravy

Haddock and chips (large) dripping with vinegar, mushy peas, and a can of cream soda.

I live in Canada now, and what they call fish and chips is fish and French fries. I really want a huge heap of proper chips 😮‍💨.

Fish, chips and mushy peas with a breadcake on the side. I then make a butty with some of all three ingredients.

Chicken burger, scampi, gurkin, and a battered sausage. Pineapple fritter if I’m feeling fancy

Unsalted/unvinegar'd crispy chips in peanut oil, and a battered haddock lightly drained and taught to swim in tartar sauce
