https://radiolemmy.com/ (Launching Q3 2025)

How you can help:

Radio Lemmy is a community driven internet radio station, by the listeners, for the listeners. Listeners will be able to send requests and interact with the DJ in a self-hosted chat (no Discord). Both commercial and indie tunes will be played; the goal for the station is for Lemmy users to share their favourite tunes with the fediverse.

I plan on launching the station as soon as I receive ~500 hours of content. See you on the airwaves soon!

I learned of your first attempt shortly after it went offline and I was bummed that I missed out on listening in. Thank you for trying again, I am excited to see how it goes!

Thank you for your interest.

Honestly, it's been a slow start with the listener submissions. Looks I'm going to have to source most of the first month's-worth of content myself. Obtaining content was much easier the first time around (when I launched blindly without any scheduled blocks), so I'm figuring that people will be more willing to help out once the station is actually up and running.

No big deal; right now I only have time to work on music programming on the weekends—and last weekend I was at a convention—so I haven't had much time to filter and sort through content anyway. But during work hours I'm able to manage the community and (soon) the chat, and the website after work hours.

Sorry for the tangent; point I'm making is that we're still on for a Q3 2025 launch. Can't wait to see you there.

Excited and optimistic for this project! I'm still working on some programming, getting my recording setup tuned so it sounds somewhat professional.

If all goes well, it will be a talk show, probably about FOSS and related topics. Maybe covering FOSS and tech news and providing commentary.
