Ugh. Mr Peeler got his medical appointment date wrong so I have taken the day off for no reason. The mini peelers have a curriculum day at their school today (the day before the end of term- my god, why?) Will probably engage retail therapy to compensate for the grey mood 💸

@CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone omg your Asian blue bowl does it have dragons on the bottom because if yes I hit jackpot and there’s several different shapes

I overslept and I don't like it

It's not often I am bored, I suppose I could read a book.

I've been away overnight so the heater has not been on for a while, came home to 12 degrees inside. 🥶

Miss Meow is making up for lost time, demanded lunch & and has now claimed my lap.

I’ve woken up to a sore & kinda blocked inner ear that is relieved when I blow my nose. Hoping to just drink a lot of water & nasal rinse later on will deal with it cos another GP appointment is too expensive right now. Home remedies welcome!

I'll tell you what, I'm pretty over this seemingly constant cycle of my kids being sick and needing to stay home from school. Too many people in the house all the time make familycalhoon go crazy!

I'm old, young miss seagoon took few days off and I didn't when I was small either. That's not just an anecdote, it's just my experience of what has been noted in proper studies.

BECAUSE schools had fewer students and that meant less spreading of germs.

Thanks Jeff for closing half the schools. Cunt.

( we need more schools )

Tinyest starts daycare in 2 months and I gotta be honest, I’m not looking forward to this part!

[-] PeelerSheila@aussie.zone 7 points 2 years ago

Same here! Mine seem to be at school for a couple of weeks and then home for a week :(

Didn't get back to sleep although I had a nice snuggly doze sandwiched by the kitties.
Decided it was the perfect day to make the congee recipe from recipetineats - with brown rice, yet. Now settled on the couch in my hoodie with a chai latte and a cat.

I had salmon (lemon pepper marinaded) and stir-fried bok choy for dinner. The bok choy in the garden has been so successfull I will need a lot more bok choy recipes to use it up. A very good return on my discounted $1 punnet of seedlings.

Alright then. New account. For anyone else, aussie.zone is miles quicker than lemmy.world. Also - stringent vetting process, but fair play

[-] Thornburywitch@aussie.zone 7 points 2 years ago

Did aussie.zone from the getgo. No issues on my laptop. Haven't tried to do the app(s).

So lemmy.world has been really slow and unreliable over the last few days. Signing off from this account, and will sign in with a new !aussie.zone account once it's verified. Way quicker

[-] TinyBreak@aussie.zone 6 points 2 years ago

Sus. Airlock him.
