Most teams (notably not the Yankees bc they are no fun) have City Connect uniforms that are different colors than their regular uniforms. The Red Sox decided to swap their old city connect ( Boston Marathon colors ) into a regular uniforms slot (you only get 4) so they can design a new one, this being the leaked design. It’s an allusion to the Green Monster at Fenway Park.
