If you spell out a word or dictate a number to someone else, split it into chunks of 3 letters or numbers. “LEV-IOS-A” not “LEVIOSA”. It’s easier on the brain. (lemmy.ml)

You can go a step further and take into account syllable divisions, so your chunks are 1 or 4 letters long. “LE-VI-O-SA”.

Meh, I'd rather use a phonetic alphabet which should ensure no mistakes are made.

Lima - Echo - Victor - India - Oscar - Sierra - Alpha

Might take longer to say but should be understood by the majority of people.

For numbers however I stick to 2 or 3 at a time for the same reasoning.
