A quick search for comaps shows a couple different projects already using that name. comaps.de is some kind of map visualization. Using the comaps name could lead to some confusion.

Alternate spelling of Leaf Maps as well (since most people will mis-hear and type the English word rather than the name) and maybe a leafy Lief is the mascot ;)

For some reason It sounds like some obscure linux distro from the 90s

• Plaid patterns kinda look like a city street grid.

• Plaid clothing/flannels is often worn by and associated with people who would buy organic, or are 'earthy' (see: Vermont Flannel)

Based on @LilDumpy@lemmy.world 's great suggestion, I thought of the slogan "Grass-fed, free-range, organic, and community-powered maps". And of course a cow for a mascot.
