It’s not particularly confusing. The house and grounds have been open to the public for 50 years, but this evidently hasn’t included the walled garden, which has now been opened to the public for the first time.

Having been there, the walled garden is part of the grounds, so it is confusing at first read.

People need to stop writing "an historic." I read an entire book about a historical topic where the author did that. It was frustrating.
