Amsterdam made a half arsed attempt to discourage British tourists to the city because (apparently unlike every other young group of men from every other country) they were seen to be drinking excessively, looking for marijuana, and making use of the prostitutes that line the streets.
This meme is trying to say that a British tourist seemingly prevented a crazy knife wielding attacker in Amsterdam which directly contradicted the scapegoating campaign.
I was thinking he didn't want the crime to be pinned on a british person because he was so tired of being prosecuted? It felt like an attack on British people because it suggests they're so lascivious that extreme measures (like tackling a knife wielder) are necessary to protect their fragile image?
