Step 3: survivors who lost family and friends are likelier to join Hamas, thus "proving" the claim in Step 1

If Israel wasn't actively trying to starve all the civilians to death, including children, we might be able believe they weren't also trying to bomb them to death.

If the current Israeli government(+) wanted people to believe what they say instead of getting their jollies via military occupation and genocide they’d have ramped up humanitarian aid to Palestinians and taken every measure possible to protect them instead of, well, gestures broadly.

(+)Obviously the founding of Israel as a nation state and the history since has been horrific, point being made is largely rhetorical.
