Free sure, but does that apply to paid accounts too?
FYI it's
Also, Belgium and Germany are okay but the Netherlands isn't?
I'm living in the Netherlands and it just works here, even paid for a domain name and with my NL details. Also can't you just use a VPN to bypass this?
Strange I'm in the Netherlands and I created an account.
Hm, seems they just forgot to mention...

Genuinely wondering why
get rid of space between the brackets for proper formatting. keeps happening on mobile all the time for me.
Damnit!
Can I still get the paid version outside those countries?
I would say ikmail is way WAYYyyy more functional than tuta and proton by being compatible with IMAP/SMTP+CalDAV protolcol. Yeah the protocol which doesn't support 2FA and encryption but who cares, it's email.
They have a mobile client which is available on F-Droid. Very elegant and modern UI which satisfy me even more than Google.
They have excellent practice on email security by using DNSSEC and DANE on mail server by default.
Deliverability and spam filtering are also great, competitive with Gmail. Exceeding Outlook and iCloud ofc.
Drawback being kinda hard to register, if not in the listed countries then just use a VPN. You have to provide your phone number too and couldn't bypass dialing checking to purchase a higher tier plan afaik. Not for privacy seekers.
Infomaniak is relatively new in personal email market but has always been underestimated for 3 years since emerging. It's good to see them finally decide to sell their nice ksuite to personal users as long as companies.
I've had that site open for a few weeks, I had been strongly considering it. Other services I had considered were:
But then I took at look at the service I'm already using daily, Vivaldi browser, and lo and behold, each Vivaldi account gets a 10 GB email account. Free btw. They're Norwegian.
But in order to get it I believe you have to gain reputation on their forums first or something like that, so not for everyone.
Why not Mailo ?
The website and the application are terrible... I've been using it for two years and I'm switching to infomaniak (Swiss service).
Personally I'm not sure if 1 GB is enough for me.
It seems too good to be true
It' does, but it's not I'm on their 1TB for 1.90 package
Honestly - I think end to end encrypted email isn't that important, as long as you don't ensure that your recipients are also using end to end encrypted solutions. Still, one should keep in mind that this isn't, which limits it's use for sensitive applications.
On the other hand, end to end encryption for file storage seems vital to me, and the only thing I'd use these 3 tb for is already encrypted archives and backups.
Private email is like healthy cigarettes. It's technically possible to make make a cigarette that is less harmful than the average cigarette, but it will never be healthy. I personally use email that claims to be private but always prefer something else if possible.
