Old school Half Life is still my favorite for immersive story telling. I really wish Valve had finished it.

Cod 4 is probably the absolute best FPS as a general shooter.

Titanfall is the closest thing since Cod 4 since it’s the same dev team, just more limited since they were a startup with limited funding.

Hard to beat DUSK :)

I love FPS's, they're obviously my favorite genre.

Just started playing Trepang2 and so far it's really cool. It's a retro game, but aiming at the early 2000's games like FEAR instead of old raycasting games. I probably wouldn't think so if I tried to go back and play them now, but going by my memories, Half Life 2 and Deus Ex. More for the epic stories than the gameplay tho.
