NPS/Solovair - British leather (and some vegan) shoes and boots, including 'doc marten' style Derby boots (they used to manufacture 'Dr. Martens by Solovair' boots).

Freet Barefoot - barefoot style shoes made in the UK, often out of recycled material, and known to be quite durable for the money.

Very intresting, never heard of freet or barefoot shoes. Kinda reminds me of what I love so much about my knitted sneakers in the summer.

CMP are an Italian sports clothing brand also making shoes for hiking, running, biking, etc... I like them because they have a slimmer fit.

Not Ecco: they continue to do business in Russia. For my money and conscience, Iโ€™d buy American shoes before buying from them.

Meindl and haix for hiking and work wear.

[-] Sylvartas@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 months ago

For hiking there are also Salomon (french), Tecnica (Italian I think ?) and Nordica (Italian). Decathlon (french) also has decent entry level stuff for basically every sport

Also:

  • Puma (German)
  • Lacoste (French)
  • H&M (Swedish)
  • Primark (Irish)
  • Ellesse (Italian, owned by the British)

Also there's Fred Perry and Fila which are both Asian-owned (by Japan and South Korea respectively), but they're at least nominally European brands.

Some European brands are American-owned though, like Umbro and Reebok.
