love how the author chose to illustrate the "Europe" ship as 100% white passengers and with a ton of extra open space on it. Really drives it home what they're doing here.

should've painted the Hull with the colors of belgium and not russia tho 👀

I almost get an Estonia vibe from the boat, but the colors aren’t in correct order

Hey but have you heard about that disappearing submarine carrying rich people?

At least they are getting resources handed for the search and rescue!

Killer Whales ftw 🙌

Afghanistan, Libya, and Syria are a few examples.

[-] tookmyname@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Afghanistan was started by a nato country, not nato.

Syria and Libya rebels definitely were helped by NATO countries, but still not NATO itself.

Russia definitely played a role too in those.

I’m not trying to deflected blame from western countries. But NATO itself was not involved.

So long as it's made out of gold, not from gold.

I'm not responsible for shooting that guy, it was just my hand, not my entire body

What counts as Nato if not literal member states? Is it not an international military alliance??? By your logic the Axis didn't invade Europe, just individual Axis members.

[-] TarkovSurvivor@lemmygrad.ml 6 points 1 year ago

Nato took over operations in Afghanistan not long after the initial invasion.

It really doesnt help his case that one of the few (perhaps the only?) time that NATO article 5 was triggered was during 9/11 and re:afghanistan (which again its p lol)

[-] TarkovSurvivor@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 year ago

Not really, the government of Afghanistan didn't attack the USA, that was bin Laden and the Afghans offered to hand him over via a third party nation, he was eventually found (according to their own account) in Pakistan and not Afghanistan. And that's not even getting into the weeds of how the cia financed at least two of the highjackers, norad failed to intercept planed that deviated from their flight paths or the project for a new amerikkkan century.

[-] chocoraisinboi@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 1 year ago

oh, most definitely, but G.W. Bush did trigger article 5 and there were meetings about it. They even concluded that indeed a foreign enemy had attacked sovereign soil of the U.S.

Whether that was torturing reality for the sake of empire building or not well that's a separate Q
