The shift to electric bikes and scooter isn't just about sustainability—it's about quality of life. Anyone living in a city knows that traffic, parking, and noise pollution can be overwhelming. Electric bikes and scooters offer a practical long term alternative.

'Biking with the crap parts removed'. Love my e-bikes for deleting hills and arriving at the office fresh. Lost 30lb doing a short commute to work somewhat regularly and the odd 20 mile rail trail ride on the weekend.

I got an ebike for the first time a few months ago. It's made a big difference in my commute. Coming to a stop isn't such a big deal anymore so I will slow or stop at stop signs. I don't sweat on my commute, it's just a nice easy ride and still fast. And best of all is that I'm not tired after my commute. I figured getting more in shape would help with that and it has a bit, but it also turns out that I would just ride harder.

I share your sentiment. Cycling is a fantastic form of exercise, but there are times when you just need to commute. Especially in a dense city or someplace where there is a lot of traffic, e-bikes are kind of perfect for the < 5 mile trips. Unless it rains or snows, haha!

Scooters can fuxk right off. Too many of them in pedestrian zones or even on the train peron.

Ebikeson the other hand are a gift of the gods

So much easier to move a tiny bike than a multiton car.

It's honestly so nice being able to get to stuff like parks and beaches without parking anxiety, since there's always bike lockups, but the car lots are always jam packed.

It's also like, pennies to operate in electricity, instead of like...$5+/gal in gas.
