Apple Maps now shows the Gulf of America

Google maps on Android shows "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)".
Mine just shows Gulf of America. :-(
Are you in America? I’m in Canada so I wonder if that makes a difference.

Starting a petition to have places renamed for Canadians.
No longer the USA, it shall be called the 4th Canadian territory: south central Canada
The arctic shall be named: Suckitputin
Greenland shall be named: Greenland (suckitmagats)

In the EU, they still show Mexico, while google shows both names:
