I'd second that. Perk of a 4 day work week can be great for everyone. though I suppose the problem is culture is kind of revolved around most people having set days off. Would create a challange for say scheduling parties, family gatherings, religious services etc... Though the pluses IMO would be removal of so much conflict when it comes to things. Both be more availability to use, and hours available to work at banks, etc... if we didn't declare an official "business days"/hours
I would love to shop on Sundays. Just because there's official business days doesn't mean 5/7 days need to be the same for every business. In my city, many restaurants close shop on Tuesday and they are open on Saturdays and Sundays.

A friend of mine has a 7 day work week with 3 days off, so he can choose whenever. That's the best model, IMHO. He has two fixed days (he chose Friday and Saturday) and the other one is "floating".
However, he still has 35 hours to work, so realistically he usually still works 5 days most of the time.
I like the idea of Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday. I find myself getting a bit worn by Thursday and Friday is often a wash. Wednesday would help be a recharge point. I guess I just don't find three day weekends to be that appealing. I know they can be used for weekend vacations, but I would rather feel constantly refreshed.
Wednesday is my favorite day off on a normal week - Only working for 2 days in a row for any stretch feels so much more manageable than 5 days in a row.
When I'm taking paid time off I'd like to stack all three days off together, though. Gotta save those precious PTO hours!
Hmmm, yeah, it's definitely nice to be able to flex your schedule to produce a three day weekend as a short vacation. It would make scheduling of regular meetings a little more challenging, but businesses/organizations really should plan ahead to function without everyone at every meeting.

Yeah, I absolutely had his video in the back of my mind.
I think is better to think of a 30-35 hours whenever you want to. Typically performed sometime between 9-5 M-F because that’s when customers, vendors, coworkers are often working too. But if it’s a beautiful day on a Tuesday maybe you just hit your two hours of important meeting and then go outside for the rest of the day.
Or your kids has a school play so you work just an afternoon one day.
At least that’s what I like…
saturday and sunday obv, but the extra day off is debateable, as it would depend on the days that are most effective for the person to be at work.
