So it sounds like Lemmy.world might be headed in the same direction as Meta in regards to moderation. https://lemmy.world/post/24135976 Although this post is not as explicit about allowing mal/disinformation about LGBTQ+ people as Meta's, it seems to have the same effect of disallowing moderation of hate speech implicitly.

So, anyone know any Lemmy servers that are explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly or better, have explicit protections in place against hate speech against us as well as other minorities? I'm looking to move my profile.

Blahaj has been good IMO, the admins are very dedicated to making sure the queerphobia of the internet at large is kept out of here. It’s centered around making a safe space for trans people, but as long as you follow server rules everyone is welcome.

Blahaj is where I'm on. Never had any problems on it. Everyone seems to be pretty cool and feels comfortable fore as a autistic nonbinary trans person.

Hexbar banned me for responding to a post that I had a question about. Also hexbar seems very much a extreme instance in not very good ways. Felt very uncomfortable and unwelcomed there.

Hexbear and Blahaj are probably your best bet, both instances are not just pro but are probably majority queer as well. However to a lot of people these instances have their own problems and the instances have problems with each other.

Hexbear and blahaj will be the main lgbtq+ instances, though really nearly all but

....Censored
will be much more welcoming than lemmy.reddit

Here's a short list of alternative instances that I can recommend🌻

I'd personally advise against joining Hexbear as they've already been defederated by several instances due to prior interactions.
