He was like a comedian most of the time, he said that in his country you worship a goat, but not like a specific goat everyone worships but just the goat you keep in your yard next to your dog. And when it dies you get a new goat and worship that one. He was an anthropology professor but the only thing I remember from that class was his crazy jokes
