i was desperate

I had accounts on two different instances and both disappeared. I suspect it's because matrix is too hard to manage and moderate.

[-] unexposedhazard@discuss.tchncs.de 19 points 2 months ago

Whot, its not that bad. There are lots of instances that have been running for years with almost perfect uptime

[-] Staden_@pawb.social 13 points 2 months ago

Then I don't know. I thought that because matrix is always buggy. Also, when I had an account at matrix.org I saw some weird stuff there (probably illegal stuff).

find me a platform that has no illegal content

[-] needanke@feddit.org 9 points 2 months ago

I mean I've never seen illegal content so far, which I guess is my main concern. I know a bit back lemmy had a problem which led to my old instance just purging all images from a certain time frame / instance and temporarily defederating the affected instance until they removed it from their side. I am also sure that other mainstream platforms I've been on have/had problems but I never just stumbled on it and had to see it.

You know asking AI is asking to be lied to yes?

Like, Apple has gone so far as to say it's impossible for current LLMs to reason.

It's incapable of knowing what is true in it's current form according to apple.

Don't trust AI to actually know anything.

[-] pewgar_seemsimandroid 2 points 2 months ago

i didn't even trust it much

[-] wholookshere 2 points 2 months ago

It's not that you can trust it a little, it's that you can't trust it ever. It's just saying want it thinks you want to hear, not what is true.

[-] pewgar_seemsimandroid 1 points 2 months ago

i posted here to see if anyone knew the reason, couldn't even get a comment on !isitdown@infosec.pub .

[-] Midnitte@beehaw.org 1 points 2 months ago

I mean, by the definition of "LLM", it's impossible for the models to reason. It's literally a fancy big text generation model, like your keyboard text prediction on ~~steroids~~ GPUs.

[-] pewgar_seemsimandroid 1 points 2 months ago
