1. I went to a big-ass three-day festival last weekend and it was very dope. I got mega stoned and listened to a some extremely funky African boogie and ate an absolutely transcendent beyondmeat burger. Probably spent way too much money, but it was kind of worth it tbh.
2. How does one confront real life actual capital I Incels? There's this one guy that's mildly acquainted with a friend group of mine since way back when. His life is clearly not going the way he wanted it to go, so he's fallen into the abyss and basically alienated anyone who tolerated him before. He wasn't exactly pleasant before either when I've met him, but he's really too far gone now. Most of my other friends severed all ties to the guy, while others "strongly condemn" his opinions and behaviour but are too chickenshit to actually do anything about it. Anyway, there's that eternally online part of my brain that's responsible for dunking on libs and chuds that's telling me it would be like so totally sick and cool to dunk on that fucking fool and maybe plant the seed of the immortal science of Marxism-Leninism in his atrophied brain-stem if I ever run into him again. Obviously he'd just call me a cuck and tell me to listen to Andrew Potate or threaten to beat my ass or whatever, but, you know, still. He's not a very threatening specimen overall, so I'm not exactly afraid of him. Anyone have any ideas?

I fear that experimenting with FF14 mods may have given me powers that no man should possess. I now seamlessly switch between multiple characters at the press of a button, I can wear anything I want and scale my character to any ridiculous size I can imagine. My characters can have any combination of wings, tails, and horns in an instant to please the whims of my inner teenager. If I don't like you I'm only a few short commands away from turning your character into an actual toad. I fear the ninjas are closing in on my location, but my hubris has become too great - I cannot stop now, not when I have the power of a developer in the palm of my hands.

Camino de Santiago Quest 2023: Day 30

Busted out an easy 36km today, though much of it was steeply uphill. The landscape is now borderline tropical and I find myself surrounded by palm fronds and eucalyptus trees. It’s a long way from the vinyards of La Rioja or the vast Meseta desert.

I have to say though that the magic is gone post-Santiago. There’s no sense of community or adventure anymore. I feel like I’m running an errand, checking a box for the benefit of completion. Which is exactly what I’m doing lol so I really can’t complain. I guess it’s nice to ring out a couple more nights in the albergues and a few dozen bonus kilometers in this wonderful country. I’m a hiker, I love hiking. And as a thru-hiker there was never any shot that I was going to skip the Camino Finisterre. If I can’t 100% a game then I don’t want to play it.

This has been a good way to decompress as I transition back to ordinary life. But right now I’m not thinking about my job. I’m thinking about this beautiful weather, my perfect blister-free feet, and how grateful I am to have just one more day ahead of me.
