I would love to buy an old daisy wheel or print ball impact printer that works using simple LPT over a parallel cable. I’ve not found a reliable source and I’m in Iceland so it’s expensive to play roulette on eBay.
@seshat look for anything that's a C.itoh 8510, like the Apple ImageWriter, or Dot Marrix printer. They're tough as nails, easy to get ribbons for. But they are kind of heavy.
