Perfect timing. The controller-operated submarine market just blew wide open.
I was under the impression it imploded.
Their replacement parts cost almost as much as the last Xbox controller I bought. They are frequently available for $40 USD and pretty much always for $50, the replacement PCB is $35 and that's only half of it.
Both PCBs, motors, and buttons are over $90 USD, and no that's not for the elite controller.
It isn't great, no. It is a step in the right direction though.
while not as through as what valve offers through ifixit, its still nice to see.
Baby steps I guess. Hopefully they offer more in the future.
So what component fixes the stick drift on my standard design lab controller? I only see 6 pieces available and 2 of them are just cosmetic pieces.
I was wondering the same thing about a bumper that doesn't always fire. Do I need to replace the pcb or just the bumper or maybe both?
Love to see it!
Any advancement towards self repair is fantastic!
Amen brother
I just replaced my bumpers a month ago and its less then perfect. Im not sure whats causing the issue, but quite frequently when i press down on one of the bumpers itll raise the other just enough to give my finger a love tap. It so far has no negative consequence, just feels a bit weird.
