We need to prove that the swimming pool is functional! (also that's kind of cute even if totally inapropriate, I love it)

[-] SomeoneElse@lemmy.world 14 points 1 year ago

Me too! I love his expression.

[-] Imhotep@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I honestly don't get it. Him being in the picture is inappropriate?

[-] just_chill@jlai.lu 6 points 1 year ago

To advertise a house you usually choose clean, profesionnal looking pictures. That one looks like a vacation picture, it does not fit the tone I guess. Also house selling pictures don't have people in it. (no weird sexual meaning here, just wrong context for that picture)

no weird sexual meaning here

Too bad. Thanks for the explanation though

He doesn't own the house. He's just a dude that hangs out and uses the hot tub. He's staying when the house sells.

[-] Rooty@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

He also dispenses heart containers to adventurers passing by.

It's beautiful, I see why they included the picture.

Also, the flowers are nice.

[-] FollyDolly@lemmy.world 17 points 1 year ago

I dunno I kinda want to buy the house more with a picture of this guy having a good hot tub time.

[-] Magnetar@feddit.de 6 points 1 year ago

He looks so content in that pool, I want to feel like that, too.

[-] domage@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

You are just being jealous.

[-] SomeoneElse@lemmy.world 27 points 1 year ago

Jealous of a back deck with a hot tub surrounded by lovely flowers? Hell yeah I am! Even the dude looks like he’s be good company.

[-] just_chill@jlai.lu 7 points 1 year ago

The look of contemptedness is meant to make you jealous so you want to buy the house and have what he has ! (this hapiness is unfortunately not tied to the hot tub, but now you can be in debt AND miserable in a hot tub)

[-] SomeoneElse@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

I think you mean contentedness. You’re confusing content (being happy) with contempt (strong dislike or lack of respect). The sound fairly similar in English. I think it’s safe to say I’ll never own property, let alone one with a deck and hot tub! But I’m happy enough with a glass of wine in the bath 🛁

Darn it ! I doubted myself and changed it before posting. thanks for correcting me, I need it sometimes.

No problem! Your English is really really good - I checked your profile before I commented to check it wasn’t your native tongue!

Bob for scale

unbothered. moisturized. happy. in my lane. focused. flourishing.

[-] _Sc00ter@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 year ago

My neighbor is doing FSBO right now. He posted 12 pictures of his house. 4 are inside, and they only cover the kitchen and main living space. No bedrooms, no bathrooms, no basement... I don't understand

[-] God_Is_Love@reddthat.com 5 points 1 year ago

Stop making me wake up the baby with laughter 😆

[-] crummysocks@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Does it come with the man?

[-] Bizarroland@kbin.social 3 points 1 year ago

Just so you know, that isn't the current homeowner. Bob and his family come with the property due to a technical loophole in the 18th amendment.

You can see he is quite happy with the arrangement.
