Artificial intelligence will bring great benefits to all of humanity. But do we really want to entrust this revolutionary technology solely to a small group of US tech companies?

All anyone needs is a good enough graphics card and you can run it on your own computer

There are open source LLMs that are comparable to chatgpt. In fact, one Google engineer was quoted as saying essentially "we're getting beat by open source in the AI space". Check out OpenAssistant and derivatives like huggingface.
