And those flags stood for something. They stood for values, quality, and an uncompromising sense of style. Those flags stood for Old Navy. Where patriotic consumerism doesn't have to cost a fortune.

The ones for little girls had puppies with the flag. Always retrievers.

A proper country, where one-size-fits-all really meant one size fits all.

The one dude is totally railing that other dude while the wives are getting down with the bartender and smoking weed.

Isn't this a violation of the Flag Code?

[-] synae@lemmy.sdf.org 6 points 10 months ago
[-] Anticorp@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

Then why do they call it a code?

[-] nublug 3 points 10 months ago

no. not using the flag as clothing or whatever is talking about an actual flag, not the design being printed and used whatever other way. it's about changing/destroying an actual flag meant for flying as a flag and also only pertains to officials or orgs representing the govt. an individual citizen can do whatever they want with their purchased or homemade flags with the right of freedom of expression.

at least, for now.

Only the military has to follow flag code. For anyone else, it's a courtesy.
