If they weren't committing a genocide, then I would agree that THIS is insane, but this is just casual Sunday for current Israel's government.

And the fascism grows.

This puts the Israeli fascists one step closer to the Nazi government from 1933-1945 in Germany

[-] SrTobi@feddit.de 10 points 1 year ago

I mean did they even condemn Hamas?

[-] dfi@lemmy.nz 7 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

They reported on Hamas Attacks in a fairly standard news style when they attacked. Israel has killed at least 25x more civilians then Hamas i would expect slightly different reporting based on that at this stage.

Did any news organization personally condemn the attack? Because their job is to report the news, and they did that. And journalists have more to fear from Israel than Hamas if we are going by numbers. See

I'll go against the grain and say it's fine for Isreal to remove al Jazeera because they are in an ongoing war. It's common to remove certain "news" outlets during war and al Jazeera's coverage of this conflict makes fox news look like a bastion of truth.

Isreal still has access to plenty of new outlets that report negatively on the conflict and scrutinize the government.

“I’ll go against the grain”. Proceeds to maintain the status quo and bootlick for fascists.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 5 points 1 year ago

Obviously 'against the grain' is talking about lemmy general opinion. Yes it's status quo to remove opposing news agencies during a war.

[-] TammyTobacco@lemmy.ml 15 points 1 year ago

Just because something is common, doesn't make it right. Israel is locking down anyone that dares speak out against them.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 2 points 1 year ago

Saying "Isreal is locking down anyone that dares speak out against them" shows a complete lack of understanding over the issue. Of course you think it's wrong if that's what you think is happening.

[-] TammyTobacco@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 year ago

I realize now my mistake was thinking a Nazi would be reasonable.

Israel under Likud is a fascist state

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 2 points 1 year ago

sure they are buddy

[-] Unbeelievable@beehaw.org 25 points 1 year ago

Tf is wrong with you? Do you even read Al Jazeera? It has been like the most trustworthy organization covering this genocide.

They're not censoring it for lying, but for telling the truth.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 5 points 1 year ago

I do read articles from them posted here often. I find them to be extremely bias and quick to report events that have little evidence.

I don't know how you can look at this situation and come away with the opinion that they are being banned for "telling the truth".

[-] Unbeelievable@beehaw.org 15 points 1 year ago

A bias against war crimes is a good bias.

[-] Fizz@lemmy.nz 1 points 1 year ago

Yes that's exactly right. Spot on interpretation.

[-] beardown@lemm.ee 8 points 1 year ago

I find them to be extremely bias

I find you to be extremely illiterate.

[-] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 year ago

Is this one of those "reality has a liberal bias" situations?
