Why do people add 'rule' after post titles?

[-] Johanno@feddit.de 40 points 6 months ago

You know the rules, and so do I.

(read the community rules)

[-] Klear@sh.itjust.works 66 points 6 months ago

So I'm supposed to memorise all your little community rules just to post here?

[-] can@sh.itjust.works 8 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

The "rule" in reference is if you visit the community you must post something before leaving. And titles are hard.

Edit: wait โ€”

Important to add that, originally, this was the only rule in 196 (although the mods of this community have made other rules for more transparent moderation)

[-] orcrist@lemm.ee 6 points 6 months ago

No no no. You can just post and hope that it complies with the rules that you didn't read, and then if someone takes it down, you have the choice to either complain or cope.

[-] Johanno@feddit.de 3 points 6 months ago

No you should know the rules of each community you are posting on.

[-] lapislazuli@sopuli.xyz 6 points 6 months ago

No, but I admire the people who can memorize, recall and communicate by using the little pictures without the slightest effort. ๐Ÿ˜”
